Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It
EVENT DATE:
June 24th
Join us, as we learn and improve upon the most important aspect of Fly fishing: the fly cast. Conducted on dryland, or a pond—without a hook— Fly casting can become a form of meditation. Letting go of the desire to be perfect and recognizing that there are no mistakes, only learning, is one of the underpinnings of this course. We call it fishing for a reason because we are always fishing whether we catch or not.
John Dietsch, your casting instructor, has been guiding in Aspen for almost four decades. He is also the founder of Fish for Wellness, an organization dedicated to exploring the connection between fishing, immersion in nature, and wellness.
No previous experience required. Six students per session. All equipment provided. Please bring warm clothing, a rain jacket and sunglasses or other eye protection.
THANK YOU HEADQUARTERS AND EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN FLY CASTING FOR THE SOUL. LOOK FOR MORE CASTING EVENTS COMING SOON.
